This would be welcome, if two platform holders are doing the same thing then more games will surely be developed by third parties to take advantage.

I'm excited for the way next gen is shaping up with these various rumours of better, more accurate motion controls (possibly with cool finger tracking gloves), awesome graphics and multi screens.

Looks good. Needed more Bayonetta 2.

I feel the same way about it as I do about 'in-TV' advertising, I guess - would be nice if it wasn't there but let's live in the real world.

I haven't found Kinect games to be, as a general rule, worse visually than other games and don't really understand the reasoning behind such claims.

Fable the Journey is particularly nice looking though.

Sure, but what are your thoughts on the game review, Charlie?

4913d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Heh, I think your post sums up how a lot of people probably feel - these are cheap cash-ins ... but I kinda want to get that one ... and that one ...

Why does the so-called Pro controller have less features than the regular one?

It's well worth it dude, honestly. Be brave!

This is actually a surprisingly good review, despite a few issues.

For example, I don't see why a Kinect game would expect worse graphics, or why the first person perspective would take some getting used to unless you've like never played an FPS.

Ironically releasing sequels / DLC is what's making companies money and thus keeping the industry alive so yeah, might want to be careful what you wish for.

'Goal' is an infamously hilarious sound effect from Virtua Striker.

People have been guessing this announcement will be various Model 2 games re-released.

I'm enjoying it so far. It's worth pointing out that flicking shots with your hand at the screen accurately is more difficult than it seems, and you might find that wayward shots have actually gone exactly where you've aimed!

The horse riding parts have been depicted as boring - maybe they become boring as the game goes on but for the meantime I've found them engrossing, and the controls to be instantly manageable and accurate.

It's on rai...

Those bigger, meatier 'triple A' console games are failing us too - instead of becoming deeper and more sophisticated, they're becoming automatic or 'cinematic', basically idiot-proof.

It doesn't really matter to me whether the game is on a phone or console, download or disc, I'll play it so long as it doesn't suck ...

4916d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

No, and it's going to play an even bigger role next gen so haters, prepare your buttholes.

Fable: the Journey probably should have been bundled with the Kinect and console this winter, given the appeal the series has. From what I've played so far the game comes recommended.

Also, motion control cannot be the future of gaming because it is in fact the present of gaming, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Wii U will lead the way, that much seems certain.

Xbox 360 has arguably the single biggest exclusive of the year in Halo 4.

There's also been an impressive volley of Kinect releases over the past couple of weeks including lots of ones for younger players.

Wonderbook has its work cut out for it going against that lineup.

Everyone?

Yeah, hence calling it a "hardcore gaming forum".

Zing!

You've missed my point, I'm not saying you're not a hardcore gamer because you don't think this chair is cool, I'm saying it's depressing to see gamers insult gamers for liking games (or in this case games stuff, same difference).

It doesn't bother me so much as it suggests a deep-seated self loathing, as I said in another thread where someone wrote "enjoy your dumb videogame, children". Get with it, guys..

You think Zombi U will be the top selling launch title? Interesting.

I'm mostly looking forward to NSMBU and Nintendo Land, which to me seems more like a 'game collection' than a 'mini game collection'.

^ Are you guys for real?

It's seriously depressing to read comments like this on a hardcore gaming forum.
